VIS AMS Carbon Fiber Trunk....Question

So I am looking at the VIS AMS Carbon Fiber trunk

http://www.visracing.com/newcatalog/...ber-Trunk.html

On the site it says that it requires trunk pins. Does anyone have experience with this trunk? Is it a good fit? And can I install the factory latch, key barrel, automatic unlock, and license plate lights? Also how strong is this carbon fiber is it easy to scratch do I need to get it clear bra coated?

No personal experience, but @PrimeMotoring has the same trunk on their BRZ; they might have some helpful info.

Does anyone else have experience with this trunk or any other carbon fiber trunk

I've got the CF hood and trunk. Doesn't scratch easily but if your a little paranoid it doesn't hurt to give it a nice coat. Also everything from the OEM trunk fit right in the CF trunk just fine. Only takes about 30 minutes to change everything over, and required 0 modification. I guess the hood is optional for hood pins, as far as trunk pins I've never heard of it. That's about all I know. Everything is flush and sits nicely.

What company are your parts from? This is clearly my first time using CF figured I'd better be safe and ask all the stupid questions now. Thanks.

Got them both at www.conceptzperformance.com for a pretty fair price and quick shipping. I suggest if you get these parts delivered don't have it shipped to your house, there will be like a 60$ residential delivery fee.

They don't even make stuff for an frs all Zs

Hm that's odd, my parts are only about 2 months old must have recently changed it. Anyways hope you get yours answers, can always pm a official vendor and get better answers.

Yeah I am going to call VIS today but I figured I'd check a forum to get some personal experience as well

Well vendors will probably tell you to never rely on a aftermarket part to fit perfectly 100%, but the parts are likely to fit pretty close to flush. I think you'll be pleased with the parts, I know I am.

Yeah I also figured they'd give me the answer their lawyer wants them to say, off road use only don't use, at your own risk etc.
