Traded the FR-S

Well it was a good 2.5 years. I was still satisfied with the car but I got more important things to spend my limited budget on.

Got a decent trade-in value and switched to a 500 lbs. lighter car that can take corners just as fast as the FR-S and is frankly just as fun to drive. I will eventually get some better wheels and drop it a bit but for now this is as good as the FR-S for smile factor.

My brand new to me 2011 Mazda 2::burnrubber:

There ya go people, it was fun while it lasted and will keep an eye out on here once in a while...not too much cause I'll get jealous!

Peace out :thumbup::thumbup:

Enjoy your mazda 2

The Mazda 2 is the secret of the Mazda line up, it's a lightweight and a good handling car. In fact, you could look up some reviews, some will be inclined to say that it's more fun than the MX-5.

I applaud what the OP has done, he realized his financial situation and went for the better option that would benefit him in the long run.

I had a Mazda 2 as a rental car once and it was good fun. Short wheelbase and aggressive throttle response made the car feel very responsive. Congrats and enjoy!

I'll probably be selling my 2013 FR-S next year for a 2016 Mazda 3 S Grand Touring. Test drove that car and loved it for the daily drive. A lot more practical than shoving a friend in the back seat then apologizing for cramming them in the back in a ball. Never in my life I thought I would have bought a Mazda till I drove the newer skyactiv platforms. Very nice cars.

Hey I just made up a joke.

"how you do make an FRS feel powerful?"

"drive a 100 hp Mazda2"

FTR after I totaled my BRZ I had a Mazda2 rental for 1 1/2 weeks. Sure it's light and nimble, but overall it's a bore and I'd much rather drive a 23 year old Integra GS-R...like the one I own! :D

Nice response guys lol.

There's just not much you can do when you finance a brand new car. However I still got 19 000$ for it on the trade. I need to buy a house soon and the car had to go. I had lots of nice cars before, I can settle down for a while.

And beside, I got 2 motorcycles waiting for the snow to get the fuck out - they are my first vehicle choice when the weather is nice.

My 1980 CB650 in progress...almost done!

A moment of silence for our fallen comrade.

J/K you had to make a choice, it happens to everyone. There'll always be more of them for you to come back to some day!

Mmmm I miss my 92 GSR. Such a shouty little car and the short gears unngggghhhhhh. Though I do appreciate the new bits on my monogram FRS!
