It's only like 2 hours -ish to Olympia from Pdx, I'd imagine we could do it in one go if everyone is good about coming with empty bladders. We can do a single pit stop at a state rest area to avoid red lights.

I call near the front. Two hours is too long to ride behind y'all catless mofos.

llawd 04-09-2015 11:59 PM

Maybe in. From Salem

how good is your passing? you'll have to earn it! No bumping like sykart!

stockysnail 04-10-2015 12:22 PM

Stopping 1/4 to 1/2 way there at a rest stop for 15mins would be good, not only to stay fresh and loose, but also for anyone that was lagging behind so they could catch up. Also make sure the person in front either has their nav unit on or knows exactly where they are going so we avoid what happened at the goodbye Kohei's car meet. ;)

Also stopping for some fresh air would be nice and to make sure my hearing is still ok after an hour of being blasted by catless exhausts

Ultramaroon 04-10-2015 05:36 PM

You kids need to save your ears while you're young. I promise it will catch up with you. Tinnitus is awful.

Is there a problem with cell service along the I-5 corridor? Anyone else have a ham license?

Tommysfrs 04-12-2015 02:36 AM

I don't have Motorola walkie talkie but I do have a Midland walkie talkie that should work to keep in touch

If everybody has a smart phone. Voxer is what I used when heading to lake Shasta a few years ago and that worked great.

modbus 04-13-2015 04:01 PM

I have two spare FRS band radios that can be borrowed by folks for the trip.

[QUOTE=Chen;2201710]This is here for the oregon guys to meet up and figure everything out and cruise up north.

Imo. I'd rather show them up and out do their 30. Let's show them what oregon has to offer.

First off thank you Chen for this awesome post to get it started!

Second for us to have more than 30 would be hard to cruise in one line some one will definitely cut us off!

Of course mine are stock compare to you all with your fancy performance I am speaking for myself lol :sigh:

Salem have 3 I convinced 1 to go the other is still a maybe. Including myself would be 2 atm!

Chen 04-19-2015 04:28 PM

Figured I should somewhat update this thread.

Plan-

Meet at cascade station at 9AM
Headout at 9:30AM
Pit stops will be just based on communication at that point. As its only 1H30M ISH to get to Toyota will be taking primarily i5 to get there.
Will meet with Northern group at X location upon arrival then probably head to Toyota to eat and grub and all that jazz. I'll update this more accordingly once I Coordinate w/ @HATED1 or @Missy

Thank you for taking care of the South end group! I will post these details on the original thread as well as here once I finalize the pre-meet location. Once it gets closer, I will need an approximate count of how many will be coming from the Portland convoy. Thanks @Chen!

Upping this thread as it's closer and closer to the event. Basically lets just buckle down and pick a place to meet. And convoy north!

What or where is Cascade Station? Can you give me an address to plug into GPS? I will be coming from Redmond, OR.

But check out. Plans may change.

digital_assassin 06-07-2015 02:45 PM

Hey @Chen, a really good spot to meet up is at the Gee Creek rest stop on I-5 just as you leave Vancouver. It's after I-5 and I-205 merge so it will make it easy on everyone, no back tracking for anyone.

This is the spot I'm talking about
https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ge...f2d92e802f6f96

This is where we stopped for the last Mega Meet to pick up all the Vancouver folk

FRS-cotty 06-07-2015 03:11 PM

Gonna be a fun day!

Great idea. We should stop there for 10-15mins so everyone can catch up.

stockysnail 06-07-2015 03:34 PM

Also @Chen make sure you update the original post on where we will meet and what time, and also the rest stop Kevin mentioned for stragglers to catch up with a time we'll be there.

That would work our really good for me, since I'm coming in on 85 I can just head up 205.

Chen 06-07-2015 08:43 PM

That actually looks like a good spot. I like that. Any one have any objections?

m.box.design 06-07-2015 09:39 PM

That looks good. That way we wont be fighting traffic lights to stay together.
