OFT reflash post intake install?

I'd flashed my car with the stage 1 93 flash when I had the stock air intake. I've now switched over to a Grimmspeed intake, but still using stock header, exhaust etc. Do I need to reflash the stage one again, or would I be ok keeping the same flash on as I had prior to installing the CAI?

You don't need to reflash, it will adapt. BUT there is a Grimmspeed intake OFT tune that you'd be much better off flashing, maybe email the Openflash guys if nobody here chimes in.

Thanks, I did a couple of searches now that I knew of the existence of a tune for the Grimmspeed intakes. I found the thread and seemingly found the files needed. I'm going to take a look through RomRaider, but I'm a bit green on that so I might not risk it.

If there is anyone who sees this thread that has the 93oct stage 1 Grimmspeed flash for a 2015 (i know, bloody specific right?) and they would be willing to share then that would be greatly appreciated. I've also emailed the OFT guys directly to see if they have it to hand.

Thanks again for the info though, I wouldn't have thought that they'd have had a specific flash for that intake.

Mainly you need to re-scale your maf for the new intake. There are guides on the forums to do this.

You would want to a Stage 1 map specifically intended for the Grimmspeed intake. We have such maps free and available upon request for all OFT users. Just email me your OFT serial number and your Calibration ID and I can send it to you.

Cheers

I found a couple, specifically one by KOA. I haven't played with RomRaider before so I'm a little dubious of playing with things like that until I get a bit more experience. I know KOA also uploaded a 91oct flash for the Grimmspeed in a different thread.

Hey shiv, do you guys have any other specific tunes? Like drop in air filter, exhaust Etc?

jaf89f 04-07-2015 12:26 AM

@Shiv@Openflash Is there a 93 oct. grimmspeed intake tune as well, or just 91? If not would I just need to change the MAF scaling in the standard stage 1 93 tune, or are there additional tables I would need to modify? Thanks in advance!

Amazing, thank you. I wasn't expecting anything until tomorrow at the earliest. I'll do the flash first thing in the morning. Again, many, many thanks.
