Will I notice a diffrence with rims that weigh 2lbs more?
Found the wheels I want at a reasonable price only problem is they are two pounds heavier than stock wheels.
Will I even notice? It's not going on a road course of autocross car just a summer DD. Wish I could find a lighter BBS mesh style without breaking the bank. Thanks guys. |
Also dont forget tire weight as well. If those are equal i would say as a dd no you should be fine. There might be a very slight difference in acceleration

Thanks. That's what I'm thinking. I'll be swaping over the stock tires so I shouldn't see a diffrence with wheels that weigh 21.8lbs. I hope ha

From experience, you can feel the difference. Especially on a lower powered car like ours.

For $190 a wheel you could get the Kosei K8R (about to be released) which are 15.4 lbs.... https://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Whee...t+Grey+Painted |
IMO you wont feel any change in acceleration, but you will feel it in the steering (that is until you get used to it).

@CallmeDave which mesh rims were you eyeing? |

But then again one can lighten by 10lbs less per each wheel. And install lighter BBKs. That, i guess, will be noticeable.

I got these BBS's. Only noticed it took a little more brake petal than what I thought was normal but I got used to it.
