Exedy Lightweight Flywheel Cross References to a Legacy GT?

Ok I have been trying to track down the Exedy Lightweight Flywheel by itself and from what I have found it's model# FF502.

(This started with me trying to buy the ACT Streetlight but it's back ordered for some time now)

Yet when I look for it I keep bringing up the 2005-2008 Subaru Legacy GT using this flywheel... which got me thinking if that's the case then wouldn't other Lightweight flywheels for that car fit ours.... but the more I look the more I am confused so I wanted to see if anyone else here has looked into this.

Maybe I have found the wrong model number, it is on a resale site that may or may not be a vendor here so it's happened before that they had the wrong model number. But if it is not and this is the right model number that opens up a few more options for flywheels when I run a search.

I believe the FF502 will work, but I can't remember for sure. Call the exedy tech line and ask them. It will be the fastest way to get the info.

Ok so some looking did produce quite a few options but I was getting ready to order one this morning after dropping off a stock flywheel to hear the most they could get off was 4-5lbs at most more likely 2-3lbs I decided I was ready to give this a shot.

However while looking I found the Legacy GT and 06+ WRX are both models I could look at as they use that FF502 Flywheel.

I also stumbled upon a solution that is promised to fit, there is now a Chromoly option for us that is along the same lines and looks to have just been posted in the past few days.

I placed an order it says it's for the BRZ and FRS. It also costs less than 220 shipped.

Honestly at this point I don't feel the test work is needed when we may finally have an option. I am going to give it a run and see what happens.

Just so we're clear. There's no point in ordering the ACT Streetlight flywheel without an ACT clutch. The stock clutch does not bolt up to their pressure plate.
ACT is back ordered on the flywheels and they're not selling clutches since the clutch is unique to their flywheel.

They're dealing with shipping issues because of the port strike, just like everyone else.

Every Vendor I have asked (Ordered 3 times I believe from different places trying to get one) says that's only the Prolight not the Streetlight but honestly at this point I guess it's a moot issue as it seems we finally have a different option that will fit and not have issues for about the same price.

I trust my roommate, they guy who actually builds the cltuches and flywheels at ACT -which is a mile from my house- more than I trust second or third party vendor.

I would have been pissed to get one and it not fit just a huge waste of time.

Guess at the end of the day then this was a blessing in disguise them being back ordered.

No worries. You may want to tell your vendors to update their info. Even Rally Sport direct has the correct info listed on thier site: http://www.rallysportdirect.com/ACT-...tlite-Flywheel

Sorry to butt in here, but does this mean I can't use my ACT 6-puck with my stock flywheel? Or i'd be good to go that way

Their pressure plate is larger than the stock PP. It will not bolt up to a stock flywheel. The spline on the clutch disc will work, but if you're trying to use the stock Pressure plate, I'd guess the pucks are larger than the stock cltuch as well.

I think you misunderstood the question, it's a statement that if the FF502 is for the FRS/BRZ and the Legacy GT and WRX of 06-08 or so then why not use the options from those cars as well for other lightweight options?
Not if the FF502 fit.
