Paint for interior silver trim
I have a few scratches on the silver plastic trim around the shift knob and the 2 silver strips below the radio. I had them covered with a rag last time I took the HU out but still scratched them. Dealer told me they do not have touch up paint for the silver trim.
Anyone find some that matches, prefer spray? |
Those silver trim pieces are pretty cheap. Might be worth it to just replace. Otherwise, try going to a paint shop or body shop and have them match the color.

I had all my interior plastic parts painted Galaxy Blue to match my car color. The stock silver was so bland I couldn't stand it, now it matches my car's exterior. I'd recommend that instead of just repainting it silver.

^ Agree with this. |
@RickyBobby - Sourcing, matching, and properly finishing the interior paint could be a bigger pain in the booty than just replacing the plastic part (they're not expensive). Alternatively, you could vinyl wrap the interior piece with a gloss, matte, satin, or brushed aluminum look vinyl. Check out Metrorestyling.com for options.

Thanks for the tips. Replacement may be the way to go. Painting the silver trim firestorm red to match the car color might be a bit much for me, or maybe not.

What if your exterior is silver, but you hate the silver trim? :'( hahaha
Just kidding, though; I'll probably be painting mine gloss black, or a dark grey. |
i went with a flat black on mine,
just got some plastic spray paint, scuffed up the surface and went to town came out great IMO |

http://www.paintscratch.com/ to site or http://www.paintscratch.com/touch-up-paint-pricing.html You'll need the non-metal touch up kit. It's expensive, overpriced even. Still, their kits are extremely noob-friendly (idiot proof even). They also have videos that give step by step instructions to get a good result. http://www.paintscratch.com/touch-up-paint-directions/ |
Hell, send them to JPM Coachworks and have them covered in Alcantara.
