BRZ ts (yes I know its not a FR-S)
So at first I thought this might be april fools stuff but it was posted at 2 news outlets and after a day no mention of april fools.
Yes I know its a BRZ but it is still news about special versions of our car. Automobile Magazine: http://www.automobilemag.com/reviews...by-sti-driven/ MotorTrend: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...s_first_drive/ To sum it up: The moniker is still being debated for use in America, but in Japan, tS meant a BRZ that received a long list of hardware tweaks that read like standard tuner upgrades, including a cat-back exhaust, carbon-fiber rear spoiler, front chin spoiler, and 18-inch Enkei alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Brakes were upgraded to larger-diameter rotors and four-piston front and two-piston rear calipers, all by Brembo but branded STI. Also branded STI: a whole bunch of interior upgrades, including aluminum sill plates, a red ignition button, Recaro sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a special shift knob. Read more: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...#ixzz3WA3ZAIIS No power upgrades Estimated cost: $36k base |
Meh. You could easily make something better with a $25k brand new FRS/BRZ + $11,000 in aftermarket mods, even if you didn't add power.
|
Old new. The Ts exists since at least 2013. :)

Oops I read that wrong. LOL
|
Gas mileage will go down due to increased grip. (greater rolling resistance)
|
Oh yeah. Recaros alone are worth the trade in.
 |
Damn it...

Best statement ever:
"If you've been holding your breath for the Subaru BRZ to get a turbocharger or some kind of power bump, it's time to exhale. It ain't coming. We put your request directly to Subaru's top brass in Japan, and it went over like asking for ketchup at a sushi bar. The response was polite but firm: Please enjoy the BRZ's lightweight feel, front-engine/rear-drive balance, and 200 naturally aspirated horses." I've been a Toyota guy before I even started Kindergarten. I'm waiting for a special edition FR-S since its Toyota after all.
But this Summer I might start working for Subaru. So I'm naturally leaning toward this now... |
Gimme a BRZ ts, and I'll slap on a CARB legal Eforce kit and thats a wrap.
You can purchase all the items from the tS now, but its much more convenient to have it from the factory that way for many reasons. Warranty, Various motorports and classing, laziness (why purchase parts and install them when you can just buy it that way), exclusivity, resale.... many reasons |

...or you can purchase BETTER parts + make your own unique creation. :P
