Vehicle pet peeves?

My biggest pet peeve is having someone lean on your car. :mad0260:

THANK YOU TOYOTA FOR THE PANIC BUTTON... would've preferred stock alarm but panic button works. Honking is LOUD. Scared a lady so bad she almost dropped her groceries on her daughter.

I'll keep it short on my pet peeves:

1) Having someone leave trash in your car from their food.
2) Someone touching your driver seat arrangements.
3) Leaning on car!!!!!!!!!!
4) Pumping wrong gas...had crazy gf in freshmen year pump diesel....
5) Stating all your car's blemishes, scratches...etc when they can't even afford your bumper.

Keep the list going guys, let's see how long it can goooooo

WesleyG 04-01-2015 02:29 AM

They keep telling me my car is slow

NWFRS 04-01-2015 02:45 AM

"How come you didn't get the BRZ?"

"How come you didn't get the manual?"

"You should drop a V8 in there."

Slamming my passenger door with enough force to simulate six months of normal use.

tyrantcf 04-01-2015 02:45 AM

Rice.

Choco 04-01-2015 03:33 AM

Leaving oily fingerprints when car is clean. (especially windows)

Putting objects on car that will scratch paint.

Hitting my car panels. (Had a kid relative kick my door panel just because when he tried opening my door and it was locked. Left me a dent. :mad0259:)

People I take to the beach and make my car all sandy. (the floor I don't mind, but my seats?! Heck naw!:mad0260:)

GhostRai 04-01-2015 03:37 AM

Relatives borrowing your car and putting small scratches on it that are not noticed by them so they never mention it.

cdrazic93 04-01-2015 03:40 AM

When someone says the frs is faster because it's heavier.

Happened once, couldn't tell if trolling or srs...

Speed2th 04-01-2015 03:41 AM

the car next to mine opens door too wide carelessly and hit my car. I felt like to murder the person for a moment.

Simplicity 04-01-2015 05:54 AM

Shouldve got a Brz bro....

givemeporknow 04-01-2015 06:09 AM

same as everybody else...
-bird shit
-people closing the passenger door by pushing on the windows
-getting door dings
-scraping for not driving slow enough
-useless back seats

aviat0rn4 04-01-2015 06:54 AM

People complaining about the air conditioning in my car. It's my car, I don't care if it's too hot or too cold, go ride a taxi or something.

Tcoat 04-01-2015 07:12 AM

Ahhhhh I am late and all the good ones are taken!

People that complain about aspects of the car even though they were oviously there when they bought it (Not fast, small back seat, etc)

Captain Snooze 04-01-2015 08:16 AM

Pet peeves? When our dog leaves hair all over the seats.

pushrod 04-01-2015 08:59 AM

Mine is when I tell someone what kind of car I have, and the person responds with "oh yeah, I have a buddy with <insert non-sports car, probably FWD econobox that the person thinks is fast>"

People eating in my car and leaving crumbs and wrappers behind.

People that can't be bothered putting on their seat belt because they really have to text someone first. The beep doesn't ring a bell.

Ignorant people telling me what I should have bought instead of a BRZ. :mad0260:

Passengers pulling the door handle forcefully over and over again when the door is obviously still locked.

When I park far away from any other car and people seem to feel the need to park as close as possible to my car.

53Driver 04-01-2015 09:57 AM

Torque dip.

Teseo 04-01-2015 09:58 AM

This. A thousand times this.

Guillaume 04-01-2015 11:06 AM

Rear visibility (w/o parking sensors).

And while on the subject:

People parking so close to the drivers door that I have to make like a contortionist to get in. Lava makes people in unsuitable vehicles want to race me all the time (lava is worth, mind you). This is corroborated by my best friend nobody ever tries to race his satin BR-Z.

Only had a couple that I thought were trying to race. I personally believe that Lava makes more people try to catch up and see what the hell the car is. I have actually talked to a couple that said that was exactly what they were doing when they seemed to want to race.
It also makes people trip over curbs or walk into mailboxes, garbage cans, poles and other people as they swivel their head to maintain an unbroken stare.

I'm sure some were just looking, but they don't usually blast out from the right lane when I pass, overtake, and then slow down and block any attempts to get out from behind them. It's possible that it's just because drivers around DC are hyper aggressive lunatics. That said, I concur with you, goodsir- Lava really does get a lot of positive attention ^_^

This, so much this.

Also, people telling me the car is horrible due to only having 200hp.

breadcrumbz 04-01-2015 04:29 PM

People that can't keep their hands still in the passenger seat that like to play with the AC vents and locking and unlocking the car doors repeatedly...

Hot Lava 04-01-2015 04:38 PM

Lava. Uuuugly.

And those guys that own them, well now don't get me started about that type!

SirBrass 04-01-2015 04:54 PM

Shutting the door using the window glass, and someone who is moving your car - like at the dealership - moving your seat back angle and seat position.

And, worst of all, when at the dealership or wherever, when they leave your car in gear and no parking brake, instead of e-brake on and gear in neutral (I've had a few jerky-stalls when I didn't notice THAT, or did, but foot moved automatically off the clutch after Is started the car). Grrrrrr. Return the car with the same "car is parked and off" arrangement that the customer LEFT IT IN!

Best one yet!
Even if I do still catch myself starting to do just that every once in a while.

TheVoiceOfReason 04-01-2015 05:21 PM

People using cars as tables, or worse, chairs.

Edit: Guess I should have read the prior post before posting. That is a pet peeve of mine I just violated...

rice_classic 04-01-2015 05:24 PM

I hate it when a pet peeves in my vehicle.

Don't judge me.

The stock tips. So diminutive in those exhaust cutouts. And once again DON'T JUDGE. You play the cards dealt.

Dadhawk 04-01-2015 05:28 PM

Car Warranties that are based on mileage first when they shouldn't be. There are certain things that should be based on time or mileage whichever is longest (like tail light condensation, but I'm not bitter or anything)...

DaJo 04-01-2015 05:44 PM

Inconsiderate people who parks like an idiot (across the line into mine) and opens the door and dings the car, plus all of the above.
