Debris in rear deck lid.

Wondering if anyone has experience with vacuuming out the rear deck lid. Some debris fell in there when my spoiler got installed, and I can hear little pieces when I open the trunk. I was going to try to vacuum it out, but the holes are rather small. I thought of rigging a vacuum hose with some duct tape and fuel line or other small rubber hose to reach inside. ?

how is the spoiler attached to the vehicle?

It's the optional factory spoiler, bolted on. I think it's just pieces from where they drilled that fell down and now are stuck.

Take if off and go fishing. Grab a magnet and side it on the underside (if you think they are metal pieces) up to the hole and pull it out.

This method works...I had to take out the drops from my spoiler too.

Oh sorry, I see the confusion now, I meant debris inside the trunk lid (I think), not under the spoiler, lol. I will try the magnet trick and if that doesn't work my vacuum idea.

I also hear the debris when I open the trunk and I have the factory spoiler too. I haven't done anything about it though... I am interested in seeing if there any quick fixes for this.

Magnet should work as it should simply be from drilling the holes.

I had this happen when I installed my spoiler. If it's little metal flakes, my body shop used an air gun to blow then out and taped the holes and injected glue into it.

I have debris in it too when I recently installed an oem brz spoiler on my frs. I tend to not give a shit because I'm not going to be opening my trunk 24/7 and listening to that crap.

I injected glue when in the open position. After F'ing around for ages with magnets.

Someone has a fix for this.
Attach double sided tape onto the end of a piece of thick wire and fish around.
If the debris is not steel , magnets won't work at all , and because the boot lid is steel , magnets won't work very well anyway.

Fixed it. Did the tube attached to a vacuum thing. I think it just dislodged whatever it was, saw something fall out, rattle gone.
