Winjet headlight LED not running as DRL

Hi friands,
First time here. Had my FR-S for over a year but just now had the money to start doing stuff. Anyways, my first mod are the Winjet headlights which look great. But the LEDs aren't working as the daytime running lights. They work when I turn my highbeams on...but from what I've seen, even without that DRL mod, they should work as the DRL.

I figure it's a wiring thing that needs swapped around but wanted to see if anybody here could help me out before I even attempt that blindly.

take your parking brake off

I wish that were it but it's not on

although maybe that opens up a new possibility...i've only checked while the car was in park. so it's possible they are on when i'm actually driving? this will make me silly if so, but i'd rather be silly. i'll have to pull behind something shiny and see if i can see my reflection

(also, DRL worked fine on stock headlights; i could see them in reflections all the time)

When I did the install I had a similar issue. They don't turn on unless you remove the car from park after starting it up, IIRC. But they stay on after you park it and turn the key so you could check them that way.
