SPC camber bolts

I just installed them and went to get aligned, and the most the tech could get out of them was -.4 deg. I followed the instructions for installation, which specified using them in the lower holes, which I found a little odd since all other eccentric bolts I've ever had asked for them in the upper holes, but I assumed the engineers knew better than I. However, this is nowhere near the +/- 1.75 degrees the product was advertised as capable of. Has anyone else used these bolts and had different results? Should I try them in the upper hole? I want to get this right before I bring it back for another alignment...

Which part number did you get? 416 is the 16mm
If I remember correctly, top hole is 16mm, bottom is 14mm.
If you use the 16mm at the bottom hole, it will fit but you have very little adjustment.
You can also use the 14mm(the one you removed) on the top.
Some people say not to use them both as they are both thinner and you are taking a risk, while others say it's fine. I'm ok with it.

Seriously?? Then that means I'm replacing the bigger of the two bolts with an eccentric bolt smaller than either of them...is there a safety issue here?

You posted as I was typing...lol.

Not sure what you mean by "416 is the 16mm"...the part number I used was 81305. Much smaller than the lower bolt, which would be the 14mm?

whoopsie, kca416 is the whiteline part number. I believe they are the same thing. Too lazy to search right now. It's sunday.
Safety is up to you. Mixed opinions really.

I'd read somewhere that SPC was rebranded Whiteline, but the SPC bolts had the SPC logo forged right into the bolt head, so I don't know what to believe at this point...

I have whiteline bolts in the upper hole and was at about -1.5* before slotting the strut.

That's basically the number I was shooting for.

The spc instructions specify the lower position in the included instructions. I put them in the top though. Seems like a better way to go.

I'm using whiteline camber bolts (which say spc on them) and I'm at -1.2*

So then it's Whiteline that are repackaging SPC products, not the other way around... At any rate, where did you install them? Top or bottom?

gramicci101 03-29-2015 07:30 PM

I installed mine in the top hole. That plus RCE yellows got me -1.7. If they're supposed to go in the bottom hole, I might buy another pair. I want to be -2.3-2.5 because my rear wheels are at -2.

Yup pretty sure they are just rebranded SPC. They are in the top hole. I think I might end up swapping them to the bottom one to get a bit more camber in the front. We shall see.
