Just read this article today. There might be hope for a turbo in 2016 after all

I have read a ton of articles about the possibility but this is the most recent.

No, they just took the concept of the FR-S and made up a bunch of bs, making it sound as though adding specific non verifiable details some how helps legitimize the article...

just because it has the name "toyota" in the website name doesnt make it official.

and the interior pic is actually from a current FRS show car. lol

So poorly written. Pretty much every sentence has some kind of mistake.

LOL, a 2.5L turbo engine form Subaru.. Righhhhhttttt....

Even Subaru does not have an engine with those specs in any of their vehicles at this time..

I am surprised they did not claim AWD :)

In addition, 2016 Scion FR-S will be concocted with electric motors that will serve the purpose of providing the front wheels with power, making it a 4 wheel drive sedan.

LOL, I guess I did not read enough.. Wow...

It reads like the author (not journalist) took ever single official Toyota statement from the last couple of years (no convert, turbo not likely, no multiple trim levels for FRS, etc) and turned them 180 degrees!

Um... I'm not sure you know this, but there's a car called "Subaru WRX STI". Yes, WRX ver is 2.0L, but STI ver is EJ257 aka 2.5L turbo engine.

But yes, that site's info is incorrect... BUT there gonna be something interesting thing happen in '16/'17

LOL, sorry I was thinking a modern Subaru engine not one from the 80's. Your right that was a pretty big blonde moment for me..

I would just assume that a web site associated with Toyota would have a bit better handle on English.
Who would give that article/site any credibility at all?
