Detailing, Wax Experience

Anyone here have any experience with any of these products?

Griot's Garage

or

Mother's?

I'm starting out with one of these in the next two weeks, so I just want to have some input from anyone that uses them.

and while we're on the topic, yes, I know there is the Chemical Guys, but i'm asking for these specifically.

Thanks in advance!

First off decide if you want synthetic or natural or a hybrid. I've been using mothers m-tech from autozone in the black bottles, wax, spray wax, and quick detailer. Its been working fine for me. I waxed it in December and have been using the spray wax every other wash and I wash every two to three weeks or so. It seems to be still working ok, but recently the trunk area seems to be attracting more dirt, not sure if the wax is gone or the car just gets dirty there easier, or if its the dry/warmer weather from spring. Overall I am satisfied with the product, but when it runs out in like a year... I will be trying the turtle wax spray wax and some kind of synthetic wax.

Between the two?, I would go with Griots, get the Griots paint sealant http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...Picks&refType= for protection, and premium carnauba wax http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...Picks&refType= to top with for looks and beading, and it supposedly lasts a long time. Never used either however, but I have heard good things, and they have good reviews. I have used many other detailing products. Feel free to ask any other questions.

I've been researching Griot's for a while and their products look good. When I get my car back, i'll probably get those. Only thing is, I know detailing takes quite a while, so i'll need to prepare for some patience!

LOL Hardly. How ever I will say the poster is in NY and as convenience happens one of the best detailers in his area (if not east coast) is hosting a detailing clinic. Nothing like learning from the pros for free.

Lets not forget everyone. Superior water beading can be accomplished with a flawless surface.

The video posted above is show casing this because the surface has been corrected and polished to a high shine.
