So Scion wants to see you "on track" for a couple years before they consider putting you in one of their actual race cars. Sounds way too easy.

Like WAY too easy... Unless you can write 6 or 7 figure checks directly to the Scion team, you're gonna need SO MUCH MORE than just 2 years doing track days to get a ride in a corporate backed race team.

A lot of us in this forum are in the military, so don't expect that to get you much. Especially since you're acting like a spoiled Airman. What you choose to spend your paycheck on is up to you. You don't have enough money after feeding homeless people and going to school? That was your choice to make, so you have to cut back in other areas of your life.

Plus, you've done nothing to warrant a sponsorship. Some of the people on this forum are on the track multiple times a month for years; if anyone should be sponsored, it should be one of them. They've put in the time and sacrifice. Instead, you want us to give you the money that we've earned so that you can go play. Why exactly should we do that?

In order for them to consider me they have to watch me over the course of 2 seasons of track time to make sure i have the required skills. The money would cover the entry fees, and yes things that may get broken if there is a crash. Not everyone is perfect but its been a dream to be a professional driver and when im older to become a journalist like the gentleman on Top Gear.

Disclaimer! I am the last person to be a spelling/grammar natzi!

Highlighted are the glaring errors. I didn't even try to go down the road of sentence structure and grammar.
Nothing at all for a regular post but for somebody asking for money that wants to be a racecar driver/journalist and is already in the military and going to college to be a teacher this just does not cut it!
If you can't be bothered to hit shift to capitalize letters then how much work are really interested in putting into the multitude of other things you want?

Scavanger 03-25-2015 04:38 PM

Sorry I didn't feel like correcting simple errors, if someone can't understand what was trying to be said thats there problem honestly idc if you donate or not just figured i would post it.

@Scavanger, not to be a ****, you can ask for whatever you want. BUUUUUUUUUUUT... You should change your forum handle.

HMMMM should make the perfect teacher and journalist!
I think you missed my point completely. Simple errors lead to bigger errors and being too lazy too do it right or correct them if you know they are there is not a good trait for any of the ambitions you have or job you claim to do. Good lord, I hope you don't work on or handle aircraft or weapons.

Scavanger 03-25-2015 04:48 PM

Oh im sorry i didn't realize a car forum had anything to do with my current or future job position.

It does when you are currently asking for money for a future job of being a race car driver.

Scavanger 03-25-2015 04:54 PM

Asking for money anyone can do for any reason, mine just so happens to be this yes. Normally I would care about it, but honestly on here i really don't.

Have you been to the track? , what makes you better than joe schmo that has been driving for many more years, many more cars, and much more experience? why would they sponsor you/your relatively stock car compared to a built one that is faster, has a better driver and is sorted? I'm not trying to put you down, You have to sell yourself and your car. And at this point you have done neither to get my or scion's interest.

In case you missed it.

Not convinced that XBox COD actually qualifies as "im military"?
