blue series question
i know there is the old WR blue
and now the darker Blue series blue.. is it possible to order a base or limited and get the Blue series blue paint , or is that an exclusive color only for the One series? sorry noob question had my frs for 2years and im ready to move forward. i have an offer for a used WR blue with 30k miles for 21k or step it up to the new blue series and be in debt hard core. 29k plus tax lic reg. . any input helps thanks. |
the new color code was used on all 2015 wrb brzs, not specific to the blue series.
Also, to add input on your dilemma, after owning my first new car, I have enjoyed owning it as new and would have a difficult time going to a used car unless the price was extremely cheap. You can get that used one, or you can get a NEW 2015/2016 limited for 26-27k if you haggle well. Orgo for the blue series if you LOVE everything about it. Good luck finding one, though. Noting what the person said below me.......if you're actually thinking about getting a brz while already having an FRS, I would just wait until the second generation in the tentative 2018 year. |
So you want to get rid of your car, for a car that is 95% the same as the one you have and go into "debt hard core?"
|
Both are a bad idea. Its same car. If you hate the color, just get it wrapped. Much cheaper....

i hear you guys thank you for all the input.. im just not happy with my silver color.. i dont want to wrap it because its not the gonna be the same as the blue on that blue series.. now knowing the info above i can prolly just get the base brz in the new one series blue and mod it from there.. since like he said its not exclusive to just the blue series.. im not a fan of the blue interior, and its more fun to customize the kit.. maybe even save or search for parts.. that is the only stock rims in black i do like .. coming from a guy that is not really into black rims..
and as far as the WR used blue... it has 30k just like my car and asking is 21k , i owe 20k on my FRS ... and its used... i save more.. ill have to check how much a new base brz with the new blue paint goes for. i know its the same car.. but i want to wake up everyday and see a blue color that makes me happy. as far as 2018 thats 2 years away i can wait and get used one in 2019... still far... at least by then itll be cheaper and get a used one with 10k miles on it or what not. only reason im thinking about it is cuz i go a good deal on my argento. used witk 3k miles on it ... for 21k at a ford dealership that wanted it gone. plus tax n what not.. thanks for the input guys... good to know that darker purple blue is available for base and limited 2015.... so the old WR blue is not an option anymore for 2015? correct? |
You are so confused.
World Rally Blue exists on all Subaru BRZs. For 2015 (and beyond), the World Rally Blue received a SLIGHT color change giving it a little darker hue. It's VERY slight. It's still World Rally Blue, it is NOT purple. No, the OLD world rally blue color code will not be available for 2015 models (and probably beyond). The BRZ BLUE SERIES has NOTHING to do with the exterior paint color. My advice.......if you don't want to wait until the second generation, don't trade your FRS for a premium brz, go for a limited brz. |
get it painted. Here's some insight for you: modern factory paint is terrible in this day and age.. the 'best practices' procedure has a robot that sprays your vehicle, which will 100% be orange peel all throughout. The water-based piece of shit 'environmentally-conscious' paint
|
My head hurts now.
No you can't get the 02C WRB anymore (that's the old WRB). Google is your friend man. |
Holy shit. You're willing to spend North of 20k JUST FOR A PAINT JOB?!?!?!?!? What do you guys do that money is such a non factor? I wanna get into your industry.
If you must have that colour, go get it painted that colour. Do not throw thousands and thousands and thousands away on a car that is literally the exact same as your current one for a paint code. Must be a troll |

You could wrap your car once a month until it's paid off, and still spend less money than buying another car.
