Rear tail light is very reminiscent of the FT-86 concept... Rest of the car is FUGLY.

crz convertible?

Since it has the S### badging, I wonder if it'll be their rwd 86-equivalent. And I love that interior, it really looks like a jet fighter cockpit lol

dem00n 10-23-2013 12:51 PM

Interior is awesome...rest of it is uh...okay?

MR, I presume? If so, very interested...

Looks like it WAS beat.... with the ugly stick

Like any concept cars, it'll probably be toned down for the production model. Just look at the difference between the FT-86 and the Toyota 86.

It may also be opinion, but I like the way it looks, and can imaging the production model actually looking pretty sharp.

Del Sol. Fuck yea.

ohayo 10-23-2013 04:53 PM

definitely the new honda beat. however what made the beat, along with cars like the cappuccino, so damn fun was that it was so light weight; i dont see any of the japanese companies going the route of rwd k cars again =(

Just yesterday I saw a woman and her child getting into a Del Sol at the grocery store. Really, those cars were great. The back window that goes down. It was unique in the market!

Very futuristic looking but kind of soulless styling in my opinion. Looks to be paddle shifted only? FWD? RWD? Front engine? Mid-engine? Hybrid? I am not sure what I am looking at.

Honda could pitch a production version of the S660 as a Beat successor, or just as a fuel-efficient sports car that emphasizes handling over acceleration.
That won't make a lot of people on here happy.

This is what I dug up from Edmunds.

Quote:

The Honda S660 Concept hints at the new face of Honda as the automaker rolls out its lineup for the 2013 Tokyo Auto Show.

The S660 Concept, a minicar with a 0.66-liter engine, is designed with the Japan market in mind.

It features the so-called "Solid Wing Face," where the headlights merge with the grille.

Honda calls the concept "an open-top sports-type mini vehicle." The S660 Concept bears a striking resemblance to the Honda EV-STER Concept that debuted at the 2011 Tokyo Auto Show. However, the latest concept features a traditional steering wheel, while the EV-STER sported twin joysticks.

The new Honda concept has been likened to the Honda Beat minicar as well, which featured a two-seat setup and side vents.

The upcoming Tokyo auto show will also be the setting for the world debut of the Honda N-WGN, the fourth model in the N Series of mini vehicles. The N Series is sold in Japan.

Honda also will display a version of the NSX sports car concept. U.S. consumers will probably do a double-take when they see the photos of the NSX, since it is wearing a Honda — not an Acura — badge. It is badged as a Honda in Japan because the Acura brand is not sold there.

Edmunds says: There is some media speculation that Honda may bring a version of the S660 Concept to the U.S., but with a bigger engine.
