OFT - Mode file not found. Cannot create a tuning file.
Today, when reading my 2015 BRZ stock ROM with my new Open Flash Tablet (OFT), I received an alert with the following error message: "Mode file not found. Cannot create a tuning file." Otherwise, the OFT seemed to read the ROM correctly.
Is this error/alert message normal? Or, should I be concerned? My guess is that everything is fine and it simply means it didn't generate an editable file? |

It's not complient because you're picking the wrong bin file.
Your car is using a 00C map. Why are you opening a 00D tune? Using the openflash manage, in the upload section, find the folder containing the C tune files. You'll need the Stg1 tune file there. Start with 91 octane and try it for a couple of days:offtopic: before doing anything else. All this information is available in better detail in Steve99's tips and tricks thread. |
Was having the same issue, I guess its just the 2015 ECU Rom that causes it. Followed Steve99's post and the recommendations in this thread and got it running perfectly Thanks everyone.
