Caliper Covers vs Paint
Thinking of getting some MGP Caliper Covers. Anyone have a preference for either Caliper Covers or Paint?
I know paint is cheaper... But covers look way nicer. Any thoughts or pics of your done up Calipers? |
IMHO don't put caliper covers on. Reminds me of 90's civics trying to look like they have BBK's. Sorry just my opinion
|
Caliper covers are awful. Paint your stockers or go with a BBK
|
Or, just don't bother and save that money for something that will make an actual difference.

Cover look pretty but they also can hold all sorts of crap in that shouldn't be there. Buddy had some on his Eclipse and started getting weird noises. When we pulled the covers the brake dust, salt and sand hand formed a kind of concrete in the cover and was gumming up the works.
Some high heat paint works just fine if you really want to change the colour. |
don't ruin your car with those covers. Will make it look cheap in my opinion...either paint or go for the real thing
|
-1000000000000 for covers.
Paint is better. G2 Caliper paint kit, highly recommended. |

Agree with this. Put the money towards some new brake pads and stainless steel lines. |
save your money.

Go with G2 caliper paint. High quality and fairly cheap for a cosmetic mod
|
The stock calipers showed a lot of corrosion/black and white spots after only a few months, so I painted mine yellow with G2. I figured if it was good enough for the Series.Blue to have painted calipers, it wasn't too rice for me. Plus yellow always looks amazing with WRB imo.
The caliper covers seem dangerous to me. |
