Sneak a peak at that pretty pretty Z in the back

Some arse backed into my frs and hit my license plate mount. Didn't leave a note or anything. I got REALLY lucky that it only messed up the plates and not the bumper itself. I haven't gotten to taking out the plate and seeing the extent of the damage because this happened right before I left for Florida for spring break last friday (w00t :party0030: w00t ) So I didn't really want to mess with it at the time, and I did not have the cover with me. Hoping that the fact that white covers a lot of things(scratches etc.) that the damage made by that arse-whole will not show up that much.

I only had to pay ~25 for a new set of plates(there was no option for just one) and ~75 for a new grimmspeed license plate relocator.

In a certain light the Ohio law for needing a front license plate saved me a lot of money if my bumper was to be damaged. I may take the plate off tomorrow and see the how it is behind that plate, I will post an update sometime after I do it

If it's not flapping in the wind or falling off I'd just leave it, you might take it off and never be able to get it back on

CrispyCheddar 03-20-2015 10:43 PM

That is true. I guess Ill leave it in there until replacements arrive. No, its not flapping or anything. Its still pretty stiff.I actually tightened the front screws to make sure that they're still solid, they were

I had a similar incident, someone hit my front bumper at a decent speed. Got a small scratch from the license plate bending but other than that it was fine. My plate was absolutely nuked but who cares. Thanks GrimmSpeed!

Well this surprises me, I had the Grimmspeed relocation kit and I came out one day recently to my license plate missing. The post and the screw into it were still in place but the actual licence plate mount was gone. I don't know if someone pried it off and stole it or if it just broke off, but I kind of assume these weren't that strong. Guess I was mistaken.

Do it yourself and you could have saved.

I'd be inclined to just leave it all gnarled looking like that. Battle scars.

I remember the good old days when it was spring break. One of the best things about living in south Florida when I was in school was your already at spring break. It was by far the easiest time to hook up. lol Dam I feel old.

I did too but my bolts worked through the plate. Ended up going in the trash after four months.
