Interesting so I thought I'd post it in Subaru/BRZ forum. Maybe just maybe the new generation engine will be shared with Scion FRS. ;)

Should be the perfect time to trade in/up...

Honestly, this doesn't look like a reliable source. Unless i'm mistaken.

But... But BRZ owners don't want new engine technology. 200hp is the PERFECT amount of HP, and the fa20 is already perfect in every way. There's no way to improve upon it.... LOLOLOL

For me I would still prefer the same engine with generally the same slopes in the hp and torque graphs (Edit: Minus the torque dip), but structurally superior so it's red line would be around 8400 rpm, with it reaching ~240 hp and 200 lb*ft @ 8000 rpm.

please god no can we not have the same torque graph...

Will be the intro of the FA16T in North America.

Most importantly that's another exec saying flat out that there will be a follow up model. Also 2018 makes a lot more sense than the hopeful 2016 that a lot of people are in for.

Are you saying that because of the huge torque dip? If so I completely agree with you.

So someone put on a site that there's this new info coming out in 2016.
