The Scion iA sedan will use the Mazda2 platform and its 1.5-liter SkyActiv inline four-cylinder engine.
I'd rather just have a Mazda2 :/

Dear Toyota, did all your designers die in a freak accident? Build your own cars, you losers.

Reminder: Nearly every small car in Europe is a VW underneath.

also Engineering and R&D cost money and despite being one of the largest firms in the market, Toyota would rather split the cost than fund it solo.

Just the way it is right now.

Unlike the IS F's 2UR-GSE, Yamaha co-developed the entire engine, and not just the cylinder heads.

Keep in mind Yamaha has been building engines for Toyota for about 50 years. They also own quite a bit of Yamaha (much like they own quite a bit of Subaru).

Back on subject, not really digging the look of this car...

Agreed. The mazda2 is one of my favorite small cars. I think it will be hard to top it.

chaoskaze 03-21-2015 05:25 AM

looks like a reskined Toyota Aygo in Asia/Europe ( Which is also a Citroen C1/Peugeot 108)

It did get axed? I never noticed... It must not be a popular car then.

On a serious note, it should be more popular than the iQ. Small compact sedans seem to do okay, but the small city car..nope

The matrix cost too much for what it is,
venza is getting the boot too, not going to see a 2016, Being slotted between rav4 and the highlander with only a few hundred dollar difference didn't seem to make sense. to the majority.

chaoskaze 03-27-2015 06:08 AM
