Compare to 2004 Sentra SE-R Spec V
I'm probably going to buy the FR-S next month but I was wondering how it's acceleration and overall performance would compare to my old 2004 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. FR-S has 25 more horsepower but the Spec V has 29 foot-pound more torque with them both weighing about the same. Obviously, FR-S being rear wheel drive will give it a different handling feel. Any input on the differences I should expect in performance between the two would be appreciated!!

That was basically what I traded up from, I had the 2002. The shifting on the car is probably the nicest change for me. The spec Vs at least from my year were a bit clunky. Also no more torque steer. I loved my spec v but this is a whole mother league of car. You will realize the first time you drive it, it's no longer a sporty econobox, this is a true sports car. I actually find myself looking for excuses to just go out and drive or take a longer way home from work.

Gearing may make all of those number irrelevant.

You got my interest in what you think between the two cars. I had an 04 Spec-V myself. I think the Spec-V had good pick up on the low end but the FR-S powerband sticks from low end to high end almost (unless I'm crazy). The ratios seems alittle better. But it's been over a year since I had the Spec-V because I traded that it for my Challenger I had.
I think you'll like the gearing ratio in the FR-S compared to the Spec-V  |
