Got Into an Accident? Need Advice?

Hey guys,

As an insurance adjuster that wants to help out around this forum, I'd like to offer my services of giving advice to fellow twin owners. I have experience in auto and home claims.

So if you guys need advice in regards to auto claims or home claims, please feel free to post!

Please note, this is not legal advice!

If I crash my car into my house, is it an auto insurance claim or a home insurance claim?

Hahaha, it will be 2 claims under. The damage to your car is going to be under your auto insurance and the damage to your home will be taken care of by your home owners insurance.

But, read up on your policy because some insurance policies differ when it comes to damage against your own property. I know for the carriers that I worked with, if your vehicle crashes into your own home/property they don't cover the damage to your home/property due to an exclusion.

And usually, home owners policies will generally cover the damage to your home if its over your deductible. But, as previously mentioned read up on your policies there may be exclusions.
