I don't know how they do it, but they are absolutely incredible at making exhausts that I hate the sound of.
|
Had a Borla dual on my '11 xB... F'n loved it!

I think the Borla exhausts on Mustangs sound amazing, but they're normally crap on imports. Never know though.
|
I made a custom exhaust for my MRS using a Borla muffler. Sounded great, both as a Rotrex SC'd 4cyl and on the 3.5L 2GR V6.
Not a big fan of their full systems though. |
I had a Tiburon GT with headers and Borla exhaust and it sounded amazing...
|
I like the sound of borla exhausts on most domestic v6s and v8s, however there usually are better choices for the amount of coin they are asking for both in performance and sound

borlas sound mean!!!! cant wait to hear!

I'm interested to see how their exhaust sounds on the boxer. They treated me well when they sponsored my '51 Kaiser, so I am partial to the people at Borla. It sounds mean on my LT1 350, nice and mellow until you step on it, then it hits a nice deep growling exhaust note. Granted this is also without cats and with long tube headers too.

I'm very happy with the Borla cat-back system on my Miata. Just the right tone and volume, and it is lighter than nearly all of the other available cat-back exhausts as well. I'd love to get Borla axle-backs on my Mustang GT (or the Ford Racing mufflers which Borla makes), but just can't justify the price for what they're selling.
I'll definitely keep an eye on the upcoming Borla BRZ exhaust, hopefully it isn't too terribly expensive. |
FYI borla makes the TRD exhausts for the Scions and Toyota cars. Not sure about the Japanese TRD though since Jap TRD =/= US TRD.
|
I was never impressed by Borla or Remus exhausts in the BMW community. Stromung and AA took the fore for those cars. Maybe Borla will wow us with this platform, but I'm not going to let myself be disappointed.
