Is this an auction sticker?
1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I was out shopping cars with a friend that's looking to get a BRZ and in one we discovered this sticker with a price on it. The sticker is on the owners manual folder. This is at a dealership and I'm wondering if this is an auction price sticker? Think this is what the dealer paid for the car? Thanks for any input! |
Use it to bargain a cheap price.
If it is, ask why the car was at auction at all.
I agree. You should ask about that sticker and see if it was sold at auction because it could've been involved in an accident and what not.
Just be sure before you buy it! |
The dealer dun goofed! lol
A lot of used car dealerships buy their cars at auctions.
Yea I think the dealer messed up too! I'm just trying to find out what exactly it is for not bargaining power!

Oh hell yea I do. This pic was taken at a dealership and the car is still there. If this is what the dealer paid for it they still won't sell it for $14k but it's a good bargaining tool to get it for cheaper than the $22k they're asking.
Do not pay $22k for a used FRS.
Dealer auctions often involve buying a "basket" of cars . The name of the game is figuring out if the mix can be profitable or not.
A dealer might buy 5 bundles and remix the ones he does not want sending them right back to auction. |
It also may be their inventory sticker and what they paid for it on trade-in.
If that is an auction sticker it is most likely the car is a salvage title or was in a major accident.
Get the VIN, run a Car-Fax on it............
