Bumper Damage

2 Attachment(s)
So my girlfriend was working on her EG the other day and she took the parking brake out and the car wasn't in gear... long story short her car rolled back and smashed into my FRS. Not much damage only $300 to repair. But the body shop took the front bumper off and is spraying the whole bumper. To me this is fine. The only thing I am concerned about is the new paint matching. The car only has 6,000 miles on it so no paint fade. Anyone have issues with paint matching after body repair? I pick the car up tonight and I am getting anxious. lol. The accident happened literally 5 minutes after I was and waxed the car. Below are two pictures. The before and after lol. I'll try to get pics up of the repair tonight.

1. time for new gf

2. Paint should be pretty good, as long as the shop knows what they're doing. The few firestorm frs' with damage/repair, the paint has looked darn good. Luckily its not white or some other very-difficult to match color.

Don't forget that the paint on the bumper vs car body might look a little different because metal/plastic...it was probably pretty darn close, but now that you're gonna be staring at it/over-analyzing, you might think it looks different haha.

I had my rear bumper repainted and in certain light mainly dusk or sunrise you can see a slight color mismatch and the bumper paint seems to be more reflective and better than the original paint. It does not brother me since its hard to see it but it mainly depends on what body shop you go to.

lol @ your #1.

And you're right about the over anaylizing it. Just hope it has the same amount of shine, as well.

The body shop I went to has a really good reputation. So fingers crossed it will turn out good.

Yes, it's a diffuser I designed on solidworks and laser cut it.

lol maybe. I'm about to leave work to pick up the FRS. She has an EG making 307 to the wheels and drags it. I have a teg making 615whp and also drag that. It's what we do in the summer. And yeah she is pretty hot. Been dating for 3 years.
