Installing TRD Parts / Locating a good shop

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to the car owning business and looking to at least install the TRD exhaust and perhaps Brembo brakes for starters. My question is, how do I go about finding a suitable shop (or should this be the dealer) for the installation and what kind of pricing can I expect? Not comfortable doing the work myself just yet.

I'm in the south san francisco bay area near mountain view for reference.

Appreciate the help!

any reputable body shop in your area should be able to install any bodykits to your car.

choose the best near you

depending on your dealer, they can do the install for free when you buy the kits from them.

not sure though when our dealership will be selling TRD parts

I hope you're not thinking TRD brakes, cuz you're looking around $9k~$15k (& no, I'm not joking).

Anyways, like top one said, search around shop that have good reputation.

Thanks for the insight.

I was thinking of staying with TRD for the exhaust and possibly subwoofers (pending review by MotoP), but i'll shop around for the brakes.

We do brake installs but we're about 5 or 6 hours from you.

The TRD USA's big brake kit for the FR-S "might" be cheaper than the TRD Japan's BIG brake kit. The TRD big kit for the 2012 scion tC is 1,675.

No. It's not but The key word I used is "Might". I know the big brake kit for the FRS is going to be more than $1,675. I'm guessing 5K- 7k. The greddy big brake kit on the Greddy black FRS cost 7K.I also heard some people say 4k if stop tech is helping TRD USA with the design.

It'll be interesting to see how TRD USA will do.

I've already talked w higher up SCION reps to don't bother bringing TRD JP BBK, cuz that won't sell well here

Yeah I know the TRD JP will not sell well here. Stop Tech is TRD USA Brakes supplier. I guess we have to wait for the TRD USA BBK.
