PSA: Flat [USDM Style] Clear Side Markers, Check Lenses. Flying Objects.

They lasted 3 days. Just bot them after someone sideswiped me enough to crack the OEM ones.

They fit like shit (will have to swap tabs with the oem ones (or bend the metal tabs) to keep them from wobbeling. After obtaining a perfect fit it turns out it was for nothing when the entire LENS took flight a 70mph.

OEM Sti side markers just purchased...

Wow, that's horrible. When I first read the post, i thought the whole thing went missing... but just to have the top lens portion fly off is ridiculous.

Where did you buy them?

What in the world 😯

Crazy. I'd demand a refund.

DotComRacing. I beleive they (the same side marker lights) are all over ebay and yahoo japan auctions. They also have a smoked version. While I'm terribly mad by the whole ordeal I find myself lucky it didn't hit another car OR the side of my own car.

:brokenheart:

It must have been a terrific little take off... So long lens, guess it was never meant to be.

OEM Sti side markers? Should of bought the OEM TRD side markers. They're probably the same as the OEM JDM Toyota version but cost more.

Haven't had problems with my flat ones. I've had only this problem with the helix one. If I feel my flat ones start getting loose, I'm gonna get the genuine clear markers too. >_<

i just bougght clear side markers for my frs and put them on, id give it about a 95% rating for perfect fit

The ones i got were off ebay, $35, free shipping AND came with white LED replacements. they arent the oem flat ones tho, have a slight raise but gives it a cool look

@Jake_86 do you have close up pics of each side? do they match? or the name of the seller?

So I ordered a flat clear set last week. One came with a scratch on it, and they don't match each other. One has a frosted corner, the other is chrome. And one has clear all around, while the other is white from the plastic. The seller tried to make excuses that it is brand new and whatnot and tried to offer me $10 refund if I kept it(I paid 40). Also fishy that he wanted the pics through email and not through ebay. I hope he sends me a matching pair.

Are jdm oem ones much better? I really don't like that nub/bump, but if they are matching/clean, I can deal with the nub.

Whoops they were actually $45 shipped.

I'll take some pics on my car later but they look real clean and nice material. I personally like it a lot better than the cheap looking flat "diAmond"texture ones that the first poster has.
