Routing the APR Brake Ducts

Hey guys! We just got done installed my APR brake duct kit and after some interest on instagram and facebook I figured I'd toss up a quick "how-to" on my site. Here's the link with photos:

Nice work Michele!

I have mine routed a little different, but yours seems better. my hoses have some tears and i will eventually replace, using your routing most likely. I havnt had fluid in my washer reservoir for over a month, so I might as well remove that lol.

IIRC Endurance only.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but have you noticed any temperature difference with this kit?

No problem. Yes, of course. I don't have my race binder with me at the moment but we no longer have heat stress marks on our rotors.

@philooo Yep, MotoIQ got some pics from APR and a response back questioning air delivery. They said on the Sprint Kit (shown) it's 70/30 ring to hub and on larger rotor kits it's about 50/50.

@MicheleAbbate Thanks for putting this together, great shots! Did your kit come with instructions? I e-mailed APR and they gave me a link to the .PDF (not readily available from their support page) with fairly detailed steps. If anyone needs it, PM me.

One important note for people that still have all the factory plastic in place, there are splash guards at the engine side of the control arms that need to be cut significantly to feed the hoses through to the calipers. These are APR's how-to pics.

Don't know if APR changed their mold, but mine did not fit either side. Do you know if they had to modify the backing plates?

Not sure. When did you order yours? I haven't personally picked up the set yet because the prices went up so I'm waiting on a sale.

From the pictures it looks REALLY close and barely has room for deflection.

I have installed my APR just like in the photo above and I had a slight rub may be 1/16. I tried to sand it down by hand but the carbon is hard as metal...ery well built ! So I decided to let the rotor do their work ... and they rubbed in a little bit and now it is as tight as can be.

Could I see how you router your ducts ? I see that you kept the washer fluid container, I have no idea how it fit with that thing in place ;) ?
