Help!!!What would you prefer: auto or manual?

Hi guys, Im doing a research study on automatic vs manual transmission and if you can help me answer the survey questions and vote on auto/manual. i appreciate your help.

1. which type is transmission you prefer? and why?
2. If you purchase another vehicle in the future, what type of transmission would you go for?

1.manual

It's fun. My first car was a manual. I like being in control of rpms.

2. If. I get a frs, I'd go for manual.
I'd get an auto for everything else

I've driven standard for a number of years and enjoy it. If there was a DSG or dual clutch automatic available, I would have a hard time deciding.

Manual. I'm a control freak. Don't tell me when to shift.

10 speed.

1 Manual. Why? Because I'm a bit of a control freak. I like to choose what gear my car is in without it kicking down or going into a different gear.

2. Manual. Its what I'm used to and after driving manuals for the better part of the last 2 years, they're just a better fit for me.

Oh god not a CVT ever!
Got no issues with autos but those damned CVTs with their lack of shift points just freak me out.

Good lord, there sure have been a lot of threads like these for "research purposes". Here's a tip OP, don't be that guy in class that writes papers about cars...

Depends on the car really. There's just cars where the personality fits the transmission or once you exceed a performance figure, I think only a DCT would suffice for me.
