Center air conditioner trim removal?

Hey all, I know that you can buy covers for the center air conditioner trim (larger oval shaped above stereo) but I was wondering if there's a way to actually remove that piece so I can paint or wrap it, etc. it feels like there might be clips behind it but I don't wanna risk breaking it off unless I know it even can be removed hahah. Thanks

FT86SF has this [expensive] kit: http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/a-c-...lors-1628.html

As far as I can tell, that oval piece is looks like its molded into the vents.

take off your radio bezel and there are two screws you remove. then it just pops strait out. pretty easy and then it pulls out with part of the air vent hose. those just pop off too after you remove the trim.

I would pay NOT to have those in my car.

I do like the wood trim, oddly enough. Did you get it hydrodipped or something?
