How much is my car worth?
 

I'm trying to sell my car. I love it but my family has doubled in size since I bought it and I can't afford to have a third car like this right now. I'm not trying to sell it here but just get a good idea of what I should list it for. It's a 2013 limited manual with 34k miles. KBB says 19K but I feel like its worth 21k. Everything in good condition or a condition you would expect for 34k miles.

That's a pretty narrow margin. Nobody here is going to know what it's truly worth, but the market will. I'll split the difference and say it's worth $20k. No clue though...

List it with an asking price of 21k, and be prepared to talk down a deal to around 20k.

$18,500 - $19,000

19-20 max. These cars don't hold their value for shit.

I paid $20k for my 14 with 23000 miles, for comparison.

You may think your car is worth more, but if blue book is saying 19K for it, good luck convincing someone that has done their research that it is worth more.

I would probably ask 21 and expect that the best you can get may be around 19. If you get more, good for you!

OP, check out cars.com and cargurus.com. See what your local competition is asking for a similar car w/ like mileage and price it according.

Up here in New England, 13 Limitieds with low mileage (and sometimes some warranty left) are advertised for 20-22K, but I've seen a couple of private owner cars listed for 18-19K. These are ASKING prices, I'd expect to knock some off of the asking prices.

Prices for the 13's have really started to drop lately. I was thinking of buying new, but prices like this have given me something to think about.

Thanks guys. I took it to carmax to get an idea and they offered me $18k. You guys are pretty convincing that its not worth much more so after reading the responses I think I might take it instead of dealing with private sale.
