OpenFlash Tablet Error

So the other day, I was planning to write my original file back into my brz, plugged everything in, made sure it was secure, followed the on screen instructions and every time I tried to write, it says error, file can't be written to the ecu, please try again.

The last time I wrote was about 2-3 weeks ago. I updated the OFT to the best of my knowledge, turned off music, all unnecessary electrical items, and still no success.

Has anyone had any issues like this before?

I already tried emailing the OFT team but I'm getting the feeling they are over busy.

Your headlights off?

Bobblehead 03-06-2015 05:58 PM

@steve99

Your genius is requested.

Flight_School 03-06-2015 06:04 PM

Yes my headlights were off each time.

continuecrushing 03-06-2015 06:04 PM

did you make sure the cable was seated in the OFT and the obdII connector?

is the stock tune already flashed?

Flight_School 03-06-2015 06:06 PM

Yes I double, then triple checked to make sure all the cables were pushed in properly in both the OFT and the OBDII connectors.

No, the stock tune is not already flashed. Not only can I not flash the stock tune, I can't flash any tune that was saved.

Rewrite the tune on the tablet and try again.

I don't understand, what do you mean by re-write the original tune?

steve99 03-06-2015 08:05 PM

Check if diagnostics work, if diagnostics ie real time logging works then connection to ecu is ok.

Try to write your original tune from the protected slot.

Make sure ignition is FULLY ON not just accessory but engine not running.

Dianostics was working. I downloaded the original file, and re uploaded it in the save file number 5 and it is currently writing, so idk what happened but i hope it works now, i see the writing bar so i just have to keep my fingers crossed!
