Missing fender screws in the back wheel well

1 Attachment(s)
I just noticed that the wheel well lining in the back has 2 holes and does not have any screws in them on both sides. I asked shoreline subaru about this and they said all the brzs they got came like that.

I'm wondering if you guys have teh same thing on your BRZ?

Here's a pic..

Maybe it's like that for installing mud/splash guards?

ihaskrayon 06-11-2012 02:29 AM

They're all like that. They're for mudflaps/guards

Nice catch. I'll see if they'll just give (or sell cheaply) the screws so I can fill the holes.

Mine is like that too. Also bought from Carter's in Shoreline.

Already posted. In addition to the mudguards it is assumed they might also be for a body kit.

They are for the body kits. The mud guards require the drilling of a hole. IF you look at the closeups of the TRD kits in some other threads you can see the bolts.

They look terrible!...especially on white (like mine and yours). Gotta come up with something to make them less obvious...it looks so unfinished. I'm thinking some kind of white or natural plastic plug, grommet or something.
The front is so well done...and finished...
Who's gonna come up with the first solution?!?

I think it would be pretty easy to buy some generic plastic plugs/grommets and paint them with touch up paint, similar to the bumper plugs product linked below:

Same on mine. I agree that on white they are the most obvious, barely noticeable on the WRB though.

That's it!...I'm trading mine in!... ;)

Same on mine... Didn't notice until washing the car! At least someone asked finally... I just figured I'd ask the dealer to put something in them when I take the car in for service...

Same here, my friends pointed it out to me when I was showing them the car, at least now I can explain why.

I noticed that as well with mine. I thought something was missing till I saw others had the holes too. I admit, it does stand out quite well on white.
