DGM or WRB?
Ok, the time has come but I can't decide whether I want WRB or DGM.
I love both (used to have a DGM IS300) and currently have a WRB'ish Echo Hatch so I really don't care either way. Does anyone know which is more common? Frost |
DGM, both colors show dirt and swirl marks super easy. but the pearl in the DGM is so nice. i love mine. I see way more WRB brzs, and alot of ASPHAULT(DGM) Frs
|
Go look at it in person, in the day and night. I personally wanted something less flashy and did not want to wash my car too often, so I went with ice silver mettalic (1GU) instead of WRB. 2015 WRB has changed slightly over the older models so take note of that.

Get wrb it's really nice in person
|
it doesn't matter where u ask, on a subaru forum ppl will always say WRB.
Just buy wut you color you thought of the 1st time. |
I am also changing my mind on a daily basis. I have seen the DGM live and I have to say it looks great. It makes the car look more expensive then it actually is.
I had my mind set on white, but having seen DGM live I tend to sway towards that. I also owned a own a dark grey IS300 btw. WRB is lower on my want list because I understand the rally pedigree of the WRX but with a BRZ not so much because that is basically a borderline Subaru after all (no offence). And the blue makes it more a boy racer kind of car. But then I can change my mind again in a heartbeat. |
at first i wanted the white but after seeing the WRB with some black accents and all, i knew i had to have it in the blue. I like the DGM but i feel like there's no contrast in the car. You don't see the fender fake vents, the front grille isn't as contrasted and the rear bumper black section is too hidden with the DGM.
Your call though! :D |

I personally like DGM the best. I have a SWP but if I had to it again I would get DGM. Both are great colors, WRB is the most popular but if you wanna be different get DGM.
|
DGM man! WRB is fresh for those who love the classic Subie style, but this isn't a rally car... and that DGM looks mean and clean on the street.
Although, I may be biased since I own a DGM. |
I voted for WRB and I feel that the DGM looks much nicer on a FRS. @Cockatoo has a FRS in DGM and it looks very nice glossed up. Looks black from afar, but the shade and gloss is great up close.
However, I think the curvey design of the BRZ doesn't suit DGM. Same reason I don't like the red on a BRZ either. Personal preference though! TLDR: BRZ looks best in white and WRB in my opinion. |
WRB > all

In the end it comes down to what you like! :) if you want it more hidden then just go for the DGM. Asking a group of people to vote is only going to give you more second thoughts. At the end of the day you'll still have your own reasons for liking the two and opinions won't change that. At least that's how i see it xD if anything think of the long term. What you plan to do to the car if any. The wheel colors and whatnot and how you want your car to look. |
I love my DGM
|
I love DGM; it's my second favorite color after GBS, but you can't get GBS new anymore, so, yeah. WRB is awesome but everyone has it.
|
I bought a DGM, but I wish I would have bought a WRB.
|
Both are great colors. I had a DGM gr sti and my brz is WRB. I feel that WRB suits this car better. It's also a very eye catching color in a sea of grey, silver and black that's already out there. It really depends on if you want to blend or stick out.
|
If you're into the classic Subaru color, then go for the WRB. I actually haven't seen any DGM around my area in NYC, so if you're into rarity wherever you live, go for that color.
|
Anything except white or blue. Everybody buys white or blue...
Personally I find every clour goes really well on the BRZ, whereas the FRS not so much. |
DGM if in Europe. WRB or SWP anywhere else. DGM matches really well in the front with the vast majority of European license plates.
|
WRB :)
|
I have black Impreza now, it looks dirty all the time. In the winter it is white because of salt, here in Europe. My wife said DGM, because it should be a bit more practical and not a show off.

Make this world a better place by getting a properly colored car (like WRB), and wash it once in a while ;)
With so many gray-scale colored cars, roads have become something out of the Matrix movie... It truly saddens me how from all available colors manufacturers (and car dealerships) default to de-saturated, watered down, old-people-nursing-home pallet. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...rio_Street.jpg On a side note, i really love the contrast of black headlights and detail on whiteout. |
Aleksey is right. The world is becoming a sea of grey..
I went to the Porsche factory in Stuttgart once and snapped this picture: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...w2560x1600.jpg |
I had a MY14 WRB & now have a MY15 WRB, no regrets. Been wanting a subi for yrs & this was the only color I wanted.
|
i had the exact same dilemma. WRB is classic subaru, but DGM looks really upscale in person. the bad news is that its a hard choice. the good news is that you really can't go wrong. imo, these are the two best colors

I'm torn between WRB and CBS... |
I have DGM. It looks great when the sun reflects on it and has a more mature look if that matters to you. Sometimes when I see a WRB though, I wish I had gone that route since it's such a unique color. I'm realize I'm not really helping here. I don't think you can wrong with either decision.

DGM is more upscale look; WRB is more flashy. Pick your preference. |
One thing someone brought up when I asked this question is that it is much easier to get paint on your own for DGM than it is for WRB.
Interesting point... I can find DGM spray paint much easier than WRB which appears to be non-existent aftermarket wise. Frost |
People calling WRB flashy and whatnot, what do people consider the other colors as?
Such as white pearl, silver, etc.? |
When i first bought the car, i had a chance to pick either WRB or DGM....i think i made the right choice... d(^__^)b
