OpenFlash Tablet Update (Faster Write Times)

UPDATE: Fast write feature is now released! To get this update, just connect your OFT to your laptop and launch OpenFlash Manager with a working WIFI connection. That's it. The next time you flash your ECU, you will notice it :)

Hi guys,
Later this week, we will be releasing an update to the public that will reduce write by over 50%. The OFT will still do a complete (not partial) write so there is no potential downside to this update. So instead of taking nearly 8 minutes to flash the ECU, it will do the same job in 3 minutes. This is about how long it takes to fill up at the gas station :)

Cheers,
shiv

Awesome! I don't change my tune that often but this is great for when I do

Thanks! This update will mainly appeal to those who spend time custom tuning on the dyno. If you do 10 writes, it will save you over 45minutes of waiting which, when you are renting dyno time by the hour, represents a good saving :)

Maybe a bit off-topic, but would it be possible to implement "auto-blip" (like EcuTek has)?

Also will help those who run e85, but occasionally need to switch back to regular pump gas for the occasional long trip (like me) :) . Switching tunes at the gas station has gotten even easier. Thx man!

And the endless people who bitch about the write time compared to ECUTEK. Nice update for sure!

wow, Awesome!!!!!

That was my only hold back before for switching tunes haha, but 3 minutes is killer!

That's awesome! On a side note, any update on the LC/FFS for the D00C guys?

To be honest, it's not something that we have ever looked to do. I've driven OEM cars with perhaps the best implemented example of auto-blip and they are still infuriating. Plus, I don't feel comfortable with implementing code that effectively takes control of the throttle under any circumstance.
