Daytime Running Light/ Crystal Vision Ultra

Has anyone used these yet? I know we cant put LEDs in the headlight or use HIDs as DRLs (Wouldnt want to anyway) and I think these will be the best thing to use. I will be putting HIDs in the Projector housing though.

Im kinda picky about lighting. I would like to know if the Ultas look ok next to the HIDs in the housing.

Any thoughts?

This will be after retrofitting however.

Ok so now Im looking at Osram Night Breaker Plus for both the projector and DRL. Anyone got reviews on these?

I just installed the crystal vision ultras for low beam, high beam, and DRL's. It's a pure white color and pretty bright. The DRL's are also bright white and not amber like the stock bulbs. If you are looking for a blue/white color you may have to go with the diamond vision but you will sacrifice visibility a bit especially when it rains.

I just ordered some 68 smd 9005 led bulbs for DRL's. Hopefully they work ok. I ordered them from Ijdmtoy.com and they had photos of an FR-S with them installed.

I actually just got mine today and installed them, they don't look too bad but the phone makes them look a little more blue then they really are

Awesome, did you have any issues? I thought about ordering a resistor kit but decided against it. Do the high beams work ok?

They were plug and play, no resistor needed.

The high beams don't work. If you have the headlights on and turn on high beams the drl's just turn on, they have one brightness setting.

This is what it looks like w/ headlights on and high beams on. Again, pic makes them look more blue than in real life

Oh so they replace the high beams? so basically those are how they look ike drl? I am considering this since i think it looks really nice..but would i get the same effect if i just switch out the two bulbs to hid? Would the drl be white as well? sorry im still new to car modding D:

This is the best way to do it, go HID for the low beams and go LED for the DRL\High Beams. How many times do you use your high beams? Nada....Get at least a 6000k HID kit.
