Would paint chips will be cover for the new car warranty?

I have my BRZ for about 1 month and i already have two rock chips on the passenger side door. I heard that Subaru paint is bad, but 1 month and car has chips already?

Anybody know if i continue to get paint chips, can i go to the dealer to get it fix while cover in the 3 year new car warranty?

Rocks are hard.
They hit the car at high speed and they cause chips.
Not a paint defect.
Not covered by warranty.

I get that, but the car is brand new and i already have two small rock chips over the past month. If it gets too bad, over the following months, maybe the dealer can help fixing them?

Unless you have the greatest dealership in the world they will not cover chips.
Chips happen, pick up a touchup pen and take care of them as they show up.

I have the clear bra and so far 3 of my worst hits missed it by an inch and two of the hits on it were enough to take bra off with the paint. Not to mention the tail light that flew through the air and hit on top of the bumper that caused a nice deep indent but never even cracked the paint!

Do you use any touch up paint for fix the small chips?

Paint or paint application defects are covered but paint damage (chips) is not.

I've had two cars repainted under warranty.

One was a 1977 Honda Civic Wagon (Green) that developed spider-webbing in the paint right at the end of the warranty. The manufacturers rep said, no problem and they stripped/painted the entire car. I was particularly impressed since I did not buy the car new and it was literally within a few hundred miles of the end of the warranty.

Second was a 1989 Chevy Astro (White we called it the Milk Wagon). The paint started peeling off the roof (not chips but long streaks) at about 50,000 miles. Again, they resprayed the entire van, looked better than new and still looked that way at 250,000 miles when I got rid of it.

My FR-S is peppered (or should I say salted since they are white) with paint chips in the front after almost 60,000 miles, probably worse than any other car I've ever owned. Nearly all the chips are in the hood, little white specs that drive me nuts. At some point I'll probably have the hood resprayed, if not the entire car. In the interim, I guess I need to get a touchup.

My red MK1 MR2 was basically pink after 165,000 miles in the Florida sun but had zero paint chips.

Yep. I will always know where they are but anybody else will have to look very, very close to find them. You get pretty good at it after the first 10 or so.

I'm right there with you; my BRZ is WRB and it is literally peppered with chips on the front bumper and several on the hood and roof. My car just had 2 year birthday and I only have 23K on the odometer and the front end just looks terrible. I've had the same I-40 commute with other cars over the past 15 years and have never, ever had a car look this bad. Of course, I've never had a car that sits this low to the ground either.

In retrospect, I wish I would have gone for a clear bra....as it stands, I will probably get the front bumper/fender/hood repainted in another year and then have clear bra put on.

Not convinced I would replace the bra since any bad hits just cut right through it anyway. Mind you most of what I seem to get hit by seems to be pretty big and moving very fast.
The vast majority of my hits miss the bra completely anyway.
I spend at least 14 hours a week on the highway so all my cars have taken a beating but like you said since this car is so much lower the hood and even the roof take more hits then any of my old cars did.
