Any series.blue owners or lip/skirt owners drop their car?

Didn't see any threads particularly concerning s.blues about this topic so I decided to post one

I've been wanting to make my car flush a little and have been contemplating some 20mm hub centric spacers (since i don't want to buy new wheels... the black ones are sexy :3)

But more importantly, if you have your car lowered with the lip/sideskirts please post some pictures and share if you scrape the lip a lot.
Tally has some bumpy roads and I've scraped the bottom of the lip plenty of times even in the stock height.

I'm curious about this as well. We scrape all the time at stock height because of the way the roads are out here in Hawaii. Moving soon to the DC area though so if I do coilovers it'll be once I get there.

Heres my winter height, can't wait to lower it in a few weeks when all this snow melts. Im doing some plowing currently but havent scraped on anything. Ive even done some steep driveways and speedbumps no problem

What is the setup you're running with?

BC coilovers with swift spring upgrade. got about a little over an inch to go lower

I'd love to, but I already scrape leaving my work garage if I have a passenger in the car :(

Too scared...the roads around here r terrible due to the winter we just had

Seems like the concensus is to not lower the car if you have the kit. Wish I could make the wheels flush without lowering.

I was scrapping my lip at stock height, but after installing the sti spring/coil set I actually scrape a lot less...its odd.

This. I'm planning to get some new coilovers for my Series.Blue, but i'm debating whether to lower it or just keep it at stock height once I install it. Reason being is that here in NYC, the roads are so terrible that i'm already scared at stock height.

It depends on where you live, some states are better I presume. Around my places........I scrap coming out from my drive way if I'm not careful .... & I sort of have to pick my way if I have to do my shopping & stuff in it.

spicyricecake 03-02-2015 12:59 AM

man... looks like I won't be lowering mine then. I've lost count on how many times I scraped it. It's already a pain in the ass so no thank you!

anyone running wheel spacers on the black 17 STI rims s.blue comes with?

I have the same setup and I scrape.

I had eibach prokit and I scraped a lot, including my own driveway. I switch it to racecomp tarmac zero and raised the height a little, it had scraped less.
btw, the oem lip is super strong....I hit a broken tire piece on the freeway and the impact was so strong that knock out the plastic pivot clip (now still missing one), the corner light also got pop out. however the lip still looks fine except having some dirt on it
