Am no longer notified of mentions...
 

There have been several occasions over the last several months where someone mentioned me by name, and I am not notified. I used to receive notifications and my mention count would change...neither happens now.

Sometimes the posts are time-sensitive in nature, and I can't get the information to the person who requested it soon enough in light of this problem.

*Would it be possible to have this fixed?

I've been at 12 mentions for like half a year now. I only knew you had done it since I manually came back to this thread.

Strange, that time it worked perfectly.

@Lonewolf @Decay107 the only time I have seen mentions not work is when someone edits their post to add a mention in. The forum software only sends the notification to the person if there is a mention in the initial post.

If I can add anything to this, it happened to me more than once that someone was trying to mention somebody else, and yet I would get mentioned instead. So maybe it's the person doing a "faulty" mention too. For example, someone would try to mention "Lonewolf" but because "Lonewolf" starts with "Lo" (my username), the mention would be sent to me.

I am sure only an admin/mod can fix this, but they haven't posted in this thread so.....?

Tbh it's nothing to do w us... UNLESS Hachi have taken your rights to mention, which I highly doubt it

If its an issue with that many people (myself included about half the time) could you guys take it up with the server/forum host?
