Well he did live long and prospered!

In his last Star Trek movie (the reboot with Chris Pine as Kirk), old Spock speaks to young Spock at the end of the film. My favorite quote: "As my customary goodbye would seem oddly self-serving in this context, I will simply say, 'Farewell'."

Farewell, Leonard. Warp speed.

Prosper indeed. He was one of those people that seemed to do it all effortlessly.

Actor, Director, Producer, Poet, Musician - 1967 Billboard #121 for "Visit to a Sad Planet", Photographer, Author (2 memoirs), Holds degrees in Education, Biology, and Photography. Speaks English, Hebrew, and Yiddish, U.S. Army Sergeant, Pet Store Owner, Vegetarian (FWIW)

His granddaughter ran this shop with him http://www.shopllap.com/Default.asp

His IMDB & Wikipedia pages are both daunting and inspiring. Check them out if/when you get a chance.

Farewell, my friend.

A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP - Leonard Nimoy

RIP Spock.

I don't usually give a shit about celebrity deaths, but Nimoy has entertained me man and boy with his work. I will miss him. Fair solar winds Leonard.

Spock's Funeral SCENE - Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan MOVIE (1982) - HD - YouTube

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan is often acknowledged as the best of the original Star Trek movie series, and the death scene in the engine room is by far the best scene ever acted in any of these films. Leonard Nimoy managed to pull out the least hammy performance ever from Bill Shatner. You believed that scene. Actually a real shame that the first film series peaked on the second film.

Of the original "core" of four main characters, three are gone now: Nimoy, James Doohan, and DeForest Kelley. The supporting cast members are still alive, but showing their age for sure: Nichelle Nichols, Walter Koening and of course the inimitable George Takei. Only Shatner goes on and on, like the Energizer bunny. He probably will never actually die, just keep looking more and more like the smoked ham that he is. :D

Deep fried turkey actually.
