The guy could have called 911, stayed, faced the music.

Now he's in deeper shit.

Absolutely no heart.

Or any one who was there for that matter.

I never understand people who put not being in trouble above others' lives. I remember these same type of people at parties when I was younger, "I think he has alcohol poisoning, but we can't take him to the ER because we'll go to jail." :sigh:

I hope all involved are found and justice is served for the peace of mind of the victim's families.

heard about that this morning on the radio. i didnt realize street racing meets was still poppin off in the valley often like in the 90s. sad and pathetic that the driver just dumped the car and ran. :(

even though it didnt have plates, cant the police track down the VIN through DMV? then at least find the registered owner and find out if it's the driver or someone that knows the driver

Yes, they stated the police know who the car owner is and are looking for him. I'll guess that the driver will either 1. confess, or 2. owner will claim somebody else was driving, then one of his buddies or spectators will be questioned and say the owner did it wasting a lot of time and costing the state lots of money in legal fees to make the case.

The races have gotten more dangerous and more frequent, he said, since the Los Angeles County Raceway (LACR) in Palmdale, which had a popular drag strip, shut down in 2007. People now have nowhere to go to race, he said.
As the man spoke, another walked by, looking at the fresh skid marks and yelled, "They need to open a track, and this will stop! This is just going to keep happening!"
