Arum quoted Bradley as telling him in the ring post fight but pre-decision that he gave it all he had but he just couldn't beat the guy. His trainer was telling him he only had one more round to survive basically before the 12th. That was a joke

DoubleZero_RS 06-10-2012 05:48 AM

RIP boxing.

86_ZN6 06-10-2012 06:09 AM

The 2 judges were definitely paid!!

igorot 06-10-2012 02:06 PM

Forget paid, more like threatened

Dimman 06-10-2012 06:37 PM

Automatic rematch, right? How much more money will they make from 2 fights instead of 1?

ZmZMWagon 06-10-2012 06:41 PM

Well there are two ways of looking at this. Pacquiao threw alot of punches that Bradley ducked and some hit Bradley on the shoulders. It looked worse than it really was because of the crowd noise and the announcers. PACMAN was exhausted and looked like he had mailed it in on during the last rounds..........

And also this:
1. Mayweather is in jail. Therefore there isnt enough time for a fight this year with PACMAN had he won.

2. If PACMAN had won last night, that would have left the rest of the year without a good fight. There are no more contenders.

3. Bradley-PACMAN II brings in more money and fills that spot for NOV.

4. Pacquiao will win the second fight and then the match with Mayweather will be set.

the judges going to get murdered

Anyone who will fall for buying the rematch has no brain. You can quote me on that. Harsh, I know, but if you think that the rematch will be a better fight than last night or not at all rigged then I believe you deserve to be called a dumbass at the very least.

That killed boxing for me. I always knew it was corrupt somehow but last night was absurd. It wasn't even a close fight. If it was, I think people's reaction and emotion would not be the same.

I don't think he mailed it in. I think he was being smart, knew he had won the fight and was taking the first half of the round off basically before putting work in the last half. This was him controlling the fight, not being tired. He didn't dominate the final rounds, but that doesn't mean Bradley did anything to win them either. Pacqiao was running the show, and that matters too.

Another point to add to your list the Teddy Atlas brought up, Arum doesn't have another big name guy beyond Pacman and Bradley. Pacman's contract expired after this fight. Do you think Arum had any interest in having the only fighter he has left to lose? No way. And the Mayweather fight still won't happen, even after the rematch.

Poor Paquiao.

I'll be waiting for the rematch. :bellyroll:

The fight wasn't bad to watch but the decision really was a buzzkill for the night as well as for me as a boxing fan. I have to agree with Stephen A. Smith on this one.

now its only MMA

SVTSHC 06-16-2012 09:25 AM

My jaw fell about five stories underground when that decision was made. Like... I knew it was political but that was disgusting.
