COLGATE, ARE YOU EXPERIENCING THIS WHEN THE CAR IS UP TO TEMPERATURE AS WELL? WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT YOUR DESTINATION DOES THE PROBLEM PERSIST?

IT IS TOTALLY NORMAL TO HAVE SOME WEIRD CHARACTERISTICS WHILE THE CAR WARMS UP, THE ECU HAS DIFFERENT PARAMETERS TO GET THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS TO OPERATING TEMPERATURE (OFTEN IT RUNS RICH AND CHANGES THE TIMING TO GET EXTRA HOT EXHAUST, SEARCH FOR "CATALYTIC CONVERTER LIGHT OFF").

I get that! I wasn't criticizing. It is just the simple fact that until somebody that can actually put hands on the car looks at it the info can be misleading.

He is probably using work computer or something so it's always on CAPS, actually my car coughs all the time when its idling... So I end up very picky about the gas. But do you guys car cough all the time?

We have a warranty? Does not see that way from recent posts!

No, the guys that said they had it and were not worried about it did so because they don't think it is a problem but a simple normal operation of this engine. Some even went to the trouble of explaining why it does it and how it is normal. God knows you revived enough old threads that already had those answers in them that if you read every thing you would know that.
Now, having said that taking it in is what should be done right from the start!
