HELP!!! pro ecutek won't download

I recently purchased a used EcuTek cable and haven't bought a liscense or a tune yet. When I try to download pro ecutek it just tells me that it was not downloaded. Any suggestions?

do you have the dongle/key?

Yes but no liscense

You need to have your license usb plugged into your computer before you can run the ProEcu program

I had the USB plugged in but I don't have a usable license

You only need the dongle and cable to be able to install the ProECU software. Just get the ECUtek app downloader off their website and follow the instructions.

What OS are you running?

Windows 7. I went through everything on their website and it gets to the final stage then a notification pops saying pro ecu was not downloaded

Occasionally their server has issues. I hate to say it but you need to just keep trying.

Once, I had a very fast LTE connection and started a Wi-Fi hotspot my garage and it would download everything except for that.

So I tried my home Wi-Fi, but it was spotty, dropping occasionally for a few seconds and occasionally just a constant but slow connection. Still couldn't download ProEcu.

I finally sat in my car in front of Starbucks and it worked.

Seems like the connection quality and speed is important, as well as whether or not their servers are just plain up and running.

I believe there's another post on here that will say essentially the exact same thing, but instead pro tuners/tuning shops are saying it.

I tried it again and it worked. Thanks guys

Yeah the damn update server was down for a few days. It was quite irritating... -.- I had to copy my install over via a flash drive to my backup laptop the other day to flash my own car lol.
