The answer is always "Miata"

Sadly, my BRZ is going to become my secondary track car. I'll keep some rims with R-Comps on them, but I'm diving into Spec Miata as my next step.

congrats... I think. Will we still see you at some of the 86CUP days? :)

You might see me racing in ARC...

I thought the saying goings like this "Miata - Miata Is Always The Answer"

That aside, congrats! Miatas are great lol, one of the few cars I considered in a similar category as the FR-S/BRZ

They are very fun car and definitely of the same ilk as our 86s. In the end there are two main reasons that I am doing Spec Miata, a very deep field and (relatively) dirt cheap running costs.

Congrats! Sounds like it will be fun!

Are you doing the original Spec Miata or Supermiata? I have a lot of friends who switched to Supermiata as the costs were getting ridiculous to be competitive...

Huh, hadn't heard of Supermiata until now (or at least it slipped out of memory).

Probably a great place to dial in the car for a season while prepping it for SCCA or NASA competition then when you get a dose of how crazy people get competing for what amounts to a pat on the back a good place to return to for wheel to wheel action.

I'm seriously thinking about following the OP, after a handful of track days I miss wheel to wheel racing. Seems like the only way to get on track with a spec Miata under $10k and not be dead last is to buy a half decent car already prepped with no history...

Congrats! Hope we'll see you around the track still.
