4350rpm rev cutoff after car crash
 

i had an accident and two airbag opened plus crashing rear wheel.

now airbag light and abs check light are "on" .
the rev at "P" or "N" do not go over 4350rpm.
i reflashed the ecu but the problem remained.

do you have any idea?

Why are you idling at 4350 RPM?

I'd suggest you take your car into the dealer and let them sort things out.

I think he meant he can't go past that RPM when he's in park or in neutral. Don't have the automatic myself, but nothing should be holding him back in revving in neutral, don't know how park works or if it limits revs. My friends Jeep SRT cuts off at around 3 grand in park, as I think most chryslers do. Sorry OP no clue.

I have a feeling that the crash on your rear wheel damaged the ABS sensor, if it was repaired, and the problem assists it was probably not repaired properly.

The Airbag light will stay on until you replace the airbags and reset the code on the Airbag ECU, the same goes for the ABS.

As for the rev limit, could it not be that you car has launch control? 0km/h or mile/hour rev limit?

it seem you are right, the rear abs sensor damaged. we had read dtc codes and three sections has error:
1. airbag (11 dtc error)
2. abs (2 dtc error)
3. speed sensor error
P0500 error

my car is automatic and has no launch control. i did not tested the car at rolling.

Rpm limited to 4300 seems very likely due ecu being in limp home mode. The ecu goes into limp home mode for a variety of reasons to save the engine or limit vehicle power and speed if the vehicle stability stsyem or safety systems are malfunctioning.

It likely you will need to replace airbags and speed sensors ect to get the vsc abs and other safety stsyems working before the ecu will come out of limp home mode.

even if dash cluster is malfunctioning you will get limp home mode, i know this from personal experience.

i guess airbag has no effect on limp mode but speed sensor and abs sensor both cause limp mode.

To be honest i do not know exactly which faults cause limp home mode, its possible air bag fault could trigger it as vehicle is unsafe to drive without functioning airbag system.
