BRZ/FR-S Cleveland, Ohio

Hi all,

Pretty new to the community, picked up my '14 BRZ last May. Anyone else in the Cleveland area rocking a BRZ or FR-S? I see them once in a blue moon but I'm unaware of any community or group for the area. The weather is garbage now but would be happy to help organize a meet at some point.

I'll go ahead and kick things off. Piloting a 2014 BRZ Premium, Dark Grey Metallic 6MT (crazy nice color in the sun). Only modifications at this point include a TRD exhaust, blue LEDs in the footwells (not the Subaru kit) and, at this time of the year, winter tires. Massively in love with the car, has only gotten better through the months and, to my astonishment, isn't that bad in the snow.

There is a pretty good crowd of FR-S and BRZ owners up there. Some of them frequent the Cars and Coffee in Garfield Heights or the one in Hudson. We organized a drive down to southeastern Ohio each of the last two years and had 14 cars the first time and 18 the second including a couple MR2 Spyders. There is also a Northeastern Ohio FT86 group on FB.

Here are a couple links to some of the past action:

Once the snow melts the guys will all come out of their burrows again.

Welcome rbatyko! I live in Mentor and have a Whiteout FR-S. I look forward to the events Rampage mentioned, however if you're in the area let me know!

I'm probably alone in this, but I think I'm more pumped driving my car during a Cleveland winter than any other time of year. Apart from the whole corrosion issue of course...

I look forward to every snow storm and whatever winter throws at us. I'll make any excuse to go driving. I wouldn't trade rwd for anything in NE Ohio...

New summer rubber has arrived to go on in the spring, so this year's "warm" time might make it back on top :)

Welcome, looking forward to seeing you around! I'm over on the east side.

Greatly appreciate the warm welcome!! Looking forward to becoming far more active in the FR-S/BRZ community. Any advice on the best place to keep tabs on upcoming meets/events?

There are quite a few groups on facebook that cater to the Twins crowd, I think they were mentioned earlier in this thread. That and keeping an eye on the forum is the best way to keep abreast of events and goings-on.

Whereabouts in Ohio are you?
