Chris Harris - Mercedes C63 AMG
Once again I love his videos and there is a really cool breakdown of the new AMG bi-turbo V8 engine

Looks great, but it still blends in very well, some might like that and others wont.
Those new bi-turbo engines are really interesting, i wonder if this one or the Audi one will hold up better and which will have better tuning capabilities. I'll be testing one of those with my right foot... |
that exhaust is pretty damn cool.

Mannn....this or a c7 Z51 Vette...hard choices

Seems like it's gonna be a really cool car. Maybe not as harsh as the old C63 but that should help it appeal to a wider range of potential buyers.

590 PS and 602 lb-ft of torque with ECU Upgrade
Very impressive. These cars are going to make some serious power after some other tuners get a hold of them. http://www.dpccars.com/gallery/var/r...%20%282%29.jpg From the article: From showroom floor, the V8 4.0-liter twin-turbo beast of an engine produces 476 PS and 479 lb-ft in the Mercedes C63 and 510 PS and 516 lb-ft in the Mercedes C63 S, but DTE-Systems is willing to raise these figures through a plug & play ECU upgrade benefiting from multi-map technology. After the software upgrade is implemented, the Mercedes AMG engine is puts out 590 PS and 602 lb-ft of torque. 6 pictures and video in the gallery . |
